As a result of the GNOME Summit, I have finished my first Banshee plugin: Lyrics.
The Lyrics plugin will various sources and display the lyrics for the currently-playing song. It isn’t network-aware yet. It doesn’t cache lyrics once they’re found. It only queries one source (the next release will query multiple sources). It’s functional enough for a first release, though.
Thanks to Aaron and Jorge, who listened to me talk about lyrics half the weekend.
What I want to do on my blog, is every few hours take the oldest post and move it to the
front of the queue, all automatically. Anyone know if there is a plugin that can do this or
a simple way to set up another plugin to do this (use my own feed perhaps)?
Thanks.
Hey, I couldn’t find a download link for this–could I have the source? I’d like to maintain and update the package, with your permission.
That was odd. WordPress converted the links to xhref. I fixed the post, and here is the url to the project page: http://battleaxe.net/projects/banshee/plugins/lyrics/
I’d be more than happy to have you maintain it. It has not been a high priority of mine and it would be great to gave someone pick up the slack.
Sorry, I’m gettin an error from with this line:
Line: gconf = Globals.Configuration;
Msg: ” `Banshee.Base.Globals’ does not contain a definition for `Configuration’ ”
Thanks.
yeah I am getting the same error message, anyone have any ideas?
Hi, my system is Ubuntu 7.04 and the configure script finished successfully. When running “make”, I got the same error as above mentioned.
Thanks.
Great Plugin… Doesn’t work for anybody…. we need a debian/ubuntu package/repo…
dããã…
This plugin seems to be unmaintained. This error during compilation happens because Banshee changed its configuration API recently (0.11.x and later) and the plugin code was not updated.
Thats sad i just found this plug in and was hoping it would bring perfection to my music player, lyrics is the only feature i miss from amarok!
